Infographic: The 4 Security Perimeters Paris will Put in Place for the Olympic Games

Paris will be a city transformed between 26 July and 11 August when it hosts the Olympic Games

To prepare for the influx of athletes, fans, spectators, and support staff in the city during the competition, Paris will have safety perimeters set up around the 25 competition venues in the region.

“The aim of the public authorities is to ensure the safety of all, while at the same time enabling social, economic, and cultural activities to continue as smoothly as possible,” according to a guide put together by Paris officials. “The red and blue perimeters will be in place 2 hours 30 minutes before the first event of the day and until 1 hour after the last event of the day.”

Here’s how these perimeters will help create a layered security posture.
